All this time, I thought it was GM and Ford that owned and OPERATED the factories. It takes TWO to enter into a labor agreement.

Very true, which is why I'll never invest in Ford or GM. However, it isn't as if management woke up one day and said, "Gee, wouldn't it be great if we could overpay workers to do nothing, then make it impossible to fire them?"

True, it didn't end up that way overnight, and management had to agree to these ridiculous contracts, but I seriously doubt things would have ended up like this without the unions pushing for them to end up this way.

Mike, a metro Detroiter who may be signing his own death warrant for daring to defy "da UAW", but even so I still have to call a bunch of economically illiterate lazy bums, well, economcially illiterate lazy bums.
