Ally Bank, Discover, etc are paying between 0.40% and 0.50% on savings accounts/money market accounts.

FYI. Another etc MM to look @ is CIBC - Their "Agility digital banking" is paying just a little bit more (0.52%) than Ally (0.50%). Not a lot more but if you're looking/moving funds anyway, worth a peek:

CIBC (Commerce Imperial Bank of Canada) has a US based banking operation out of Chicago. They do have checking, etc.

disclosure: I use both Ally (2012) & CIBC (2020). Have not had a problem w/either xfr'ing funds from/to. 2-day settlement I believe - my experience, if you do a W/D on a Friday it is Dep'd on Monday per their statements.
