You know, even if Altucher is full of cr*p, and doesn't know his nostril from the orifice which shall not be named, he is actually a pretty witty writer.  Here is a link to his reply in regards to all the feedback he has gotten on his "Buffett is lying about the recession" interview:  http://biz.yahoo.com/ft/080310/fto031020082316243082.html?.v=1

Here is an excerpt from that article published in the Financial Times so you can determine whether it is worth the read or not:

"Will people stop lying to me? Everyone lies. Companies say they aren't going bankrupt and then two weeks later they file for bankruptcy. Companies say no lay-offs are coming and a month later they lay off 500 people. Politicians say they won't raise taxes and then they do. Abraham lied to his son Isaac when he said they were just going on a hunting trip and really he was planning to kill him.

New members of Alcoholics Anonymous are often told: "Fake it till you make it." People have two natural instincts. One is to believe everything they hear. And the other is to lie with every word coming out of their mouths.

Darwinistically, this has worked out. DNA tests have shown that every one of us has a common maternal ancestor from about 200,000 years ago. She was probably about 4ft 6in tall. She was also apparently a liar. And it has worked out well for us since 6bn of her "children" live scattered around the planet in various stages of disgrace, betrayal and half-truths.

We also all have a common paternal ancestor, but our uber-grandfather didn't date our uber-grandmother since he lived about 50,000 years after her. He was a liar too. When my two daughters reach their teenage years they are going to start lying to me also. In bulk...."
