I'm a long term value investor hoping to retire in 17 to 20 years.

My investement outlook is somewhere in between the commonly accepted "diversification is good" at one end, and Andrew Carnegie's "put all your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket" at the other - I believe the answer (for us little guys...) is probably somewhere in between.

At the risk of sounding like a segment from Mad Money, I am now "all in" with my retirement account; with a rough breakdown of 70% in mutual funds and 30% in individual stocks.

Regarding only my individual stock holdings, am I diversified?

#1 large to mega cap "blue chip" core holdings

1 General Electric [GE]
2 BP [BP]
3 3M [MMM]
4 Merrill Lynch [MER]
5 Corning [GLW]

#2 micro to mid cap speculative picks

1 Henderson Land Development [HLDCY]
3 GigaMedia [GIGM]
4 Balda AG [BALOF]
5 Composite Technology [CPTC]
6 Universal Stainless & Alloy [USAP]
