I always thought of law as an austere, gentlemanly profession where manners and civility ruled over the ebbs and flows of workload and profits.  Kind of sad that this may not be the case.  Mental note: if I'm going to get laid off, I should do it like her.  Maybe there's security in bankruptcy law?  I'd hate to think what happens if law firms go public.
