Even I never know what snippet of music will pop into my head! Just now it was the hymn to Ed Sullivan from the musical Bye-Bye Birdie, of all things :

It's been a long times since we've heard from Ann-Margaret.

She turned 80 this year.

I'm with CNC on this!

I hosted a daily radio show called "Showstoppers" for a couple of years, on which I played, and chatted about, American Musicals. (Poor listeners had to hear me talking about American shows with my snotty Brit accent!)
I can think of many songs that go through my head, but thank goodness never that one!

Thx for posting "the Monty Python march" :-)

Not just for smiling at memories of Monty Python, but I've loved Sousa marches ever since playing a bunch of them while in the pit orchestra for a ballet school(!). Such fun to play, plus with the hubster's piccolo in my ear, too (we met in an amateur orchestra where he played 3rd flute & piccolo and was asst conductor and I played 2nd fiddle. We were butted up against each other in that tiny orchestra pit and quickly became friends.)
