This topic was discussed at great length on both the RNWK board and on the Silicon Investor website. I believe the jist of the discussion was that the independent lab was not quite so independent. Kind of like the OJ trial: given enough money you can find an "expert" or "independent lab" that'll say pretty much want you want them to say.

Much more interesting (and pertinent) is the latest volley in the on-going MSFT vs. RNWK battle. Today's Mercury News Business Section headline screams: Microsoft dumps RealNetworks.

How's that for unbiased, objective reporting?
