Anybody reading anything good these days?

My father sent me a copy of The Secret. I can't stomach all the hogwash. I like the idea of having a positive attitude, and approaching even the worst of situations with a hope for a positive outcome. But getting my inner...whatever to tune in and vibrate at the right frequency, so I will become a magnet for wealth and health...give me a break, please.

After The Secret, I picked up The Tipping Point. Three chapters in, and I still don't know where the author is going. He keeps going over the same ground; hush puppies, syphilis, and murder in New York.

Another gift I received is Richard Branson, Business Stripped Bare. This one sounds promising.

What I would like to read is John Grisham's new book; The Associate. Not everyone here has to send me a free copy, but if you are so inclined, send me an email.

Call me what you will, but I still enjoy reading the Gospels. Luke and John, mostly. I have been reading the same book of Proverbs for almost 20 years, and I still find something new and inspiring.

I'm also finishing up Bukowski's Women

Oh goody, a new entry for my To Read list.
