Although I've been generally aware of them for several years, I recently dove into a band called Dawes. Specifically their albums Stories Don't End and All Your Favorite bands as well as Blake Mills' two solo records.

Really loving it.

What are you listening to these days?

Added them to my listening list in Amazon Prime. Dawes has a nice sound - not overly processed, nice harmonies, nice mix... I'll be listening to them for a while I think.

My recent go-to music has been Steven Wilson ("Hand. Cannot. Erase." and "4 1/2" specifically) and a random smattering of Mumford, Fleet Foxes, OAR, DMB, Blind Melon... I guess you could call it "acoustic folky jamming?"

Acoustic Folky Jamming. Nice. That totally fits in my wheelhouse.

I don't think they're around anymore and they might be tough to find, but check out a band called Bonepony. They might fit your Acoustic Folky Jamming genre. Toured a lot in the early 2000s, I saw them in Indianapolis several times when I lived there.

Good stuff though. One of those bands where I'd always scratch my head and ask...Why isn't this band huge and all over the radio?

Bonepony, aka "The Cowboy Poets" now, apparently. Still selling Bonepony albums on their new website.

"Where the Water's Deep" is pretty fun! https://youtu.be/TzjCdf-RkYI

Yes, their last two albums are their best (Pressure and Time, and Great Western Valkrie). I saw them a year ago from just a few feet away. They have a new album coming out in May.

You guys should also check out Grace Potter. Her album 'The Lion, the Beat the Beast' is killer from start to finish.

A second vote for Grace Potter & The Nocturnals. Their 2007 release "This Is Somewhere" doesn't have a bad song on it. And tremendous range, from quiet, well-crafted acoustic stuff like

Apologies -- This is Somewhere -- 2007 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoIJLvMK0FE

Lose Some Time -- This is Somewhere -- 2007 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMnQHa34wlE

Big White Gate -- This is Somewhere -- 2007 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ocHIkMC9jo

to rock and pop stuff like

Ah Mary -- This Is Somewhere -- 2007 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqMhW66sO6k

Mr. Columbus -- This is Somewhere -- 2007 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btf4_ZpUbvY

Mastermind -- This is Somewhere -- 2007 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9j8nQ4Pzkik

Here's to the Meantime -- This is Somewhere -- 2007 -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8LYaHXD2Vg

YouTube also had a clip of her performing I Shall Be Released from the DVD "Love for Levon" that was recently taken down. There's another recording of it you can find but the angle and sound quality are low-fi. The DVD is worth getting just for her performance of that song. Seriously.

There are a bunch of live recordings of Grace Potter at archive.org.

The best I've heard so far is Arrington, VA 9/7/2014.

Her voice is in top form and the band is tight and adventurous. I could talk about the highlights, but the whole damn show is a highlight. Check out the setlist, click on any tune to listen. The download is free, either mp3 or flac.
