As a government manager I thought I would take my head out of the sand long enough to respond. I think the biggest potential for government agencies is the use of e-forms to reduce duplicative data entry. My agency is looking at a Records and Workflow solution and is conducting a pilot program to test the roll out. FileNet is being used in partner with JetForms for the e-forms. When we got proposals a number of the proposers selected JetForms as their e-form solution.

I understand the State of Wisconsin is using JetForms for a major rollout in State government.

P.S. I understand the "head in the sand" reference. Often government is the last to embrace new technology. Some of that comes from penny pinching budgeteers and some comes for the lack of a profit motive. Public or private I think we all want to do a good job and be productive. I believe products like e-forms will go a long way to that end.
