As a previous poster pointed out, the pressure on this "copy" to be exactly like the original would be immense and to me at least would be a form of slavery.

It seems to me just another (albeit extreme) case of parents having children more as a plaything or to gratify the parental ego and not grasping the awesome responsibility of their child being a person. (Sort of like when expectant parents strut about displaying their heightened status...)

I was just pointing out another ethically dubious facet of the process.
