As the 20th century winds down and as we head into the new millennium, we thought it only appropriate to make this week's show our Motley Fool Radio Millennium Special.

first... i want to THANK YOU for not feeling the
common compulsion to add, "of course the Millennium
doesn't REALLY start till 2001....
i've promised to try to choke the next person who says

1. Which public figure of this Millennium has had the most influence on you? (Ex. If you're a cotton farmer, it may be Eli Whitney).

on Me? Dad. Mom's a close second. Without both of them
i wouldn't exist. Dad ekes out the win because my
personality is more like his. (and Mom's a better

2. What do you regard as the most significant innovation of the Millenium? [sic]
(Ex. the pocket fisherman)

Pocket fisherman's good. TV. i like the 'Fridge &
canned beer. but the stirrup was a major deal...
and the rifle. maybe the printing press. or the novel.
number zero.. bookkeeping. anesthetic.

way too much innovation this Millennium to choose
one thing.

3. What public company will most likely be around in the year 3000? (if you had to buy a stock and put it in a 1000 yr. time capsule, what would it be?)

the one most likely to be around in 3000 is the one
that was around in 1000 and is still here.
(why would i care? not much chance i'll be around
to spend it)
