As we approach mid June, I'm happy to have a strong rooting interest in the NBA playoffs. For me, there's more pleasure viewing sports when I have a passion for the team playing. The emotional highs & lows are stronger when watching a team where there is a shared history vs a forced interest of watching to see how the c-note with the local book perfoms. Tonight's S.A. vs. OK City game is not compelling to me, but tomorrow's Heat / Celtics game is eagerly awaited. The games are fun, as are the players and coaches comments post game.

After Boston played at home and won game four on a final shot miss by the Heat, here was the Celtics coach commenting after the game: "Red wasn't going to let that go in, you know that," coach Doc Rivers said, "Not in the Boston Garden." Ahhh, memories of Red. Thanks Doc, that sound bite will forever be remembered, almost as if it came from Johnny Most.

Tomorrow, as I hope to see the Celtics bring the series to a close and advance to the NBA Finals, there will be one sound bite missing. The crowd roaring: "Beat L.A., Beat L.A.".
