As you say, royalty rather than a gorilla (would you recommend the book?).

The Gorilla Game is excellent but not all that easy to put into practice. It's not easy to spot Gorillas. I also recommend his two marketing books, Inside the Tornado and Crossing the Chasm. The Gorilla Game is based on his marketing experience in Silicon Valley. Less interesting for investors is Living on the Fault Line a book for management where he addresses, among other things, The Innovator's Dilemma.

Bottoms-Up Marketing by Al Ries and Jack Trout

Guerrilla Marketing: Secrets for Making Big Profits from your Small Business, and
Guerrilla Marketing Attack: New Strategies, Tactics, & Weapons for Winning Big Profits from your Small Business by Jay Conrad Levinson

It's been a long time since I read these books from the 80s. I didn't read them for investing but to establish my business in Silicon Valley. The lessons are useful for understanding the competitive position of our investments.
