Since this group insists on the right to post 90% plus off topic, maybe the path of least resistance is to start another group that posts on topic. Great, fine, everybody loves to discuss world events here, I give up, it's time to move.

Imagine a group where almost every topic is about FI/RE, and there are only 20 or 30 new posts per day ... sounds pretty good, huh? That is where this group would be if the OT barrage stopped.


FI/RE is a lot more complex than than simply having enough dollars. You may not realize it, but things (everything from personal relationships to political issues) affect you much differently after you take an early retirement than they did before.

I think psychological aspects of early retirement may be of equal importance as financial aspects.
