You can't use leverage to invest 265% of your money in MI screens without being something of an optimist. I apply that same optimism when determining when I'll finish with a certain project, say for example a new version of the backtester.

So far, it's looked like a lot of promising that hasn't amounted to much, but rest assured work continues. Well, not quite currently: an important project at my job was scheduled with a similar dose of optimism, and is now past its original deadline and approaching the new one I gave myself. So I haven't been able to do much backtester work lately. Once things slow down, I'll be able to get back on it. As it stands right now, I can run the Standard and Overlap testers, and a lot of Screen Builder work has been done but not enough to run anything yet.

To make up for this lack of progress, I fixed up the current version to use the new version's data (which I have been keeping up to date). This means that the last few months are now available. This turned out to be a rather simple operation (a few hours' work), and one may wonder why I didn't do that in the first place. A combination of optimism that I would finish soon, and just not having thought of it, I suppose.

Don't expect to be very rewarded - there's not a lot of good news in these last few months.
