The House approved a bill Tuesday that would extend a ban on manufacturing plastic firearms that are not detectable by security-screening devices, the first federal gun legislation approved since the school massacre in Connecticut nearly a year ago.http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/house-votes-to-extend...Isn't that TERRIBLE ??? No....not the ban....the fact that a year after Newtown the federal government has done nothing to keep guns out of the hands of loonies.So....why....clearly violating the Second Amendment (which specifically says that anybody can have any kind of gun they want....or something like that), did Congress cave in? The National Rifle Association, which mounted a strong campaign against more-stringent background checks in the spring, remained silent on the issue of extending the ban on plastic guns.Ahhhh.....now I see.Jack
