FYI:
I took my Bank Direct balance down to 0 by writing a check against it in December. I've been getting into my account online, and I've had a 0 balance since that time. Tonight, I tried again and I was denied access -- there was a message about inactive user. So I'm assuming my account has been cycled and closed.

Thought those of you doing the same thing might be interested.

Just a word of caution. You may want to be absolutely sure that your balance was $0 when they deactivated your account. If a close-out fee or other fee was charged, your account would still have been deactivated. You may want to be sure, and maybe even order a copy of your ChexSystems report, just to be absolutely sure. I have heard horror stories from some banks.

Interesting point. I'm pretty sure it was 0, because it was 0 for over a month, even after their January 16th conversion date. But I will double-check. Thanks!
