I don't call that balance, I'll use Peter Lynch's term and call it di-worse-ification. Selling a stock purely because it has outperformed is stupidity.
Look the discussion was regarding selling down a portionof a stock to maintain the % balances of a balanced fund. These funds are sold to the public on the basis that they maintain a perscribed % in certain disclosed sectors.
Maybe it's stupidity to you & It's not the way that I invest but the people that put their money into these funds feel that they reduce risk.

My point was, you don't lose by selling a % of a winner(ie your cag) thats profit it's the reinvesting of the profit thats the thing.

PROVE that you have done it year after year, decade after decade
Ok I'm not that old geez decade after decade.
But really truthfully if you can't put your money into a index fund or Berk because you wasting time + money.
