Be careful with these gas-to-liquid "research" co's.
This technology, well known and originating from WWII,
basically evolves around re-inventing and re-designing
the catalyst used in all these gas-to-liq. processes.
Syntroleum Corp. is the only one now that appears to be on the right track, with deals going on with the likes as Shell and Enron.
Most of these processes only start looking economically viable when crude hits $20/bbl and up.
Again, this gas-to-liquids thing is as old as the V2
rocket and nobody has made any $$ out of it so far.
South Africans are the only ones I know of ,with large commercial capacities ( coal-to-gas-to-liquids ), but
don't ask anybody in SAfrica the ROI they make on it.
It's pretty awful!
ppk.
