Be VERY happy with your company. The bulk of employers who do match, match 50% of the first 6%, so you doubled that. As for a discretionery contribution of 5.5%, I have only worked with a few companies who contribute more than 3%.

Check your vested benefit. more and more plan make the match 100% vested. That way, as soon as it hits your account, it's yours regardless of how long you stay.
