Twice in the last few days, I have seen one Fool apologize to another for an attack, a mis-characterization, or some other verbal altercation or potential start of one.

I have been here a long time, and I've seen apologies before. I haven't seen them so close together, though. I wonder if this is demonstration of an early trend, one with people taking responsibility for their words online, even in an anonymous setting. I really hope that it is. Fools tend to be more mature than the average user of other parts of the Internet (I mean that in the best possible way, not just that we all have gray hair and potbellies, though that's probably also true), and thus I hope that this is a moment of people starting to lead by example.

Also, to those who specifically apologized, thank you. It takes a grownup to own it when you created a problem. We need more grownups in this world.
