believing in the Big Bang is not the same as believing that all the matter and energy that constitutes the universe were 'created' in that moment - only that we have no capability to get information about that matter/energy prior to that point. For all we know that matter did exist before the Big Bang, and will exist after our present universe collapses in on itself (only to generate Big Bang 2...or Big Bang 2^3,498,206)

You are not discussing the theory as I understand it. People will dispute anything of course, but the consensus seems that the universe's mass is such that it will continue to expand forever, no collapse just heat death as the last light goes out.
There's more to this, but it's late.


I take "it's late" to mean that the Creator is likely to deem the whole current experiment a failure any day and start over with another Big Bang?!
