A very good friend of mine has been looking into buying a bar for quite awhile. He is at a "now or never" crossroads and it looks like he is going for it. Last week he met with a few realators and looked at a few local bars that are up for sale.

He is a young guy (late twenties) and this will be his first attempt at a business. I know there is plenty of general advice on the internet, but I was wondering if any of you Fools know about online/offline resources specific to running a bar.

One of the reasons I'm interested in helping him - other than being a good friend of mine - is that I will likely invest some money to help him get started. He is a bright and resourceful guy, and I think he will do well. To his advantage, his mother is an accountant and she will be providing services at a discount.

Fortunately, another mutual friend recently opened a pet shop that has been doing well. I'm sure he will be a good resource for my friend.

Thank you in advance,
