trump is appealing the slap down ruling he got from Judge Tanya Chutkan. She released a decision requiring records from the archives be handed over to the House select committee. As with all things trump, everything he does has to be a secret and fought to the bitter end through the courts for as many years as he can drag it out. He tried to front run the decision by calling for an injunction before the ruling was even down. She was not impressed or amused. The ruling stood and the documents were scheduled for delivery. But trump and his Krakken team of lawyers went to the Federal appeals court and whined about procedures, privileges and powers even an ex, twice-impeached, disgraced, president should be granted.

Two days later, the federal appeals court agreed to temporarily block the delivery. The judges needed more time to dig up precedents and review the case. So now the D.C. Circuit will hold oral arguments November 30.

What we don't want is for this to get to the Supreme Court where we will surely lose.

The Plaintiff will be the Donald and the defendant will be the Bennie Thompson

Luckily Bennie and the House have good lawyers and trump has Krakken lawyer Jessie Binnall

The reason for posting this is the brief from the House. Starting on page 7, there is a 14 page summary of all the facts and the history of what trump and his allies were up to that precipitated the insurrection. It's a thorough, easy to read, well-summarized detailed summary of what happened. It's hard to remember all the awful things trump and company did leading up to 1/6, so this is a good document to keep around to remind us why America needs a win.Link is at the top.

1. Mr. Trump’s Campaign to Undermine the Results of the 2020 Election

Long before Election Day, Mr. Trump began laying the foundation to undermine it (as described in the public record). As the Democratic primary campaign wound down, Mr. Trump began to fixate on mail-in balloting as a potential source of fraud. On April 7, he described such ballots as “corrupt,” “fraudulent in many cases,” and the work of “cheaters.”

Mr. Trump would make such claims a motif of his campaign, with multiple variations. In May, for example, he threatened to “hold up” unspecified funding to Michigan and Nevada if those states mailed ballots to voters, thus “creating a great Voter Fraud scenario.”

In his Republican National Convention speech, Mr. Trump claimed, “[t]he only way they can take this election away from us is if this is a rigged election.” Pressed in September 2020 on whether he would “commit to making sure that there is a peaceful transferal [sic] of power,” he said only, “we’re going to have to see what happens.”
