The general topics are listed alphabetically. The threads and posts are in rough chronological order except where I messed up. If a subject is not listed here, it probably has not been covered in detail on the board. Put up a post!

If you think I missed something, put a link in a reply to this thread. If you have a conversational point, don't hit reply, send me an email instead or start a new thread. The goal is to keep this thread focused on useful links and information.

I compiled this index to what I consider the most useful and informative posts on this board after reading the roughly 1,200 posts since this board was created in March 2000. There were many interesting posts I did not include, including the social and chatty posts that make this board a good community. I know I left out many good posts; sorry about that.

I started posting here (as Papilio) in spring 2001, after buying my first bicycle in 20 years. This index is just a thanks for all the encouragement, stories and advice of the past year from people on this board.
