I have seen occasional articles by these people full of
%'s and proportions in discussing their money. For example they moved 30% of their portfolio into cash in a recent article.

I ask: just how much have they got?
A drop of 40% in a portfolio of $6M is very different from the same drop in a portfolio of $2M.

All the planning, success, and calculations is completely meaningless w/o an understanding of net worth, including pensions, options, paid insurance from employer, etc.

Mr and Mrs Kaderli, if this reaches you, please realize that I am glad for your success, but find it impossible to evaluate or compare to my situation without the bottom line. And unless I can do these things, I do not see the value of the story.

Generally, net worth is private, but in presenting oneself as an example, one ought to tell the relevant truth. Or else it's just another ad.
