Bobbcat, regarding #13269, I think you have got employer-sponsored 401(k)'s and Keogh plans confused. The numbers you quote are for Keoghs. The limits that can be contributed to 401(k)'s are complicated and depend on whether you are a "highly compensated employee", and what fraction of the total company payroll is going into the 401(k). For most people, the complicated rules don't apply, but they are still there.
