Both of these companies are high quality companies, that are excellent LONGTERM investments. It is tough to pick one for the next 6-12 months, but looking at them both right now, I don't know one will truly do better then the other in such a short period of time.

Personally I would keep both for many years and enjoy huge returns then. I currently own UTX (and have for about 2 years), and don't plan on selling it any time soon.
If you are looking for a short term profit you are in the wrong companies. My feeling is that you should hold, but if you had to let go of one I would let go of GE. I think GE is slightly overvalued comapred to UTX and the entire market (then again I have a bias with UTX).
But hey, become a long term investor and you can enjoy two quality companies for many years to come.
