Bought LMT some years ago. Current yield on cost: 6.6%.

This is irrelevant if your focus is income from rising dividends.

LMT’s present yield is around 2.4%; you could sell your shares and pay capital gains (if applicable) and buy another company with a current higher yield and rising dividends, thus giving yourself a pay raise. Not a bad idea because by most measures LMT’s stock is in overpriced territory anyway.
