I'm getting tired of my typical breakfast which tends to be something like toast or a bagel, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas that are low in sugar and cholesterol. I do make my own bread and bagels, so I am able to make oatmeal or wheat varieties, but I'm looking for something a little different.

I'm not a fan of hot cereal, so that's out unless there's a great way to make it so it doesn't taste like wallpaper paste.

I do like to cook, and also like to make things ahead.

So what do folks do for breakfast?
