Gene and I would like to add our support to Bruce Brown's nomination. We can easily list a dozen names that deserve this nomination, but in our opinion, none as much a BB. When a small group of us were reading and reviewing books on the Rule Maker Grad -July 2000 board, Bruce volunteered to help us review "The Gorilla Game." In case this board isn't familiar to many of you, here is a link to the board. http://leviticus.boards.fool.com/Messages.asp?mid=14004566&bid=113956 We were a small group that never came close to making the most popular list, like many of the boards Bruce frequented.

We believe that Bruce Brown is dedicated to the Fool spirit "To Educate, Amuse, and Enrich." Certainly his willingness to take us under his wing and help us get the most out of reading "The Gorilla Game" is a good example of this. The links I have provided are links to the support he gave us in reviewing GG.

Here are links to three post done by Bruce Brown
BB's post on publications to read.

BB's post on Gorilla Baskets.

BB's post on Chapter 2 of the Gorilla Game

We would not characterize these posts as the best of Bruce Brown. Those posts in our opinion are on the GG board or on Rat's Broadband Bandwagon board or possibly another board we don't follow. We hope others will add to our list of the great BB posts.

I agree, certainly Bruce Brown deserves to be the first Feste Award winner. His "Fat Pipe Portfolio" series was just one example of his sharing of knowledge and inspiring others to learn more. The posts were enlightening, highly readable and exemplefied TMF community ideals at their finest . The amount of time that Bruce spent compiling these reports probably exceeded 100 hours. Had a consultant written those reports, they would have been priced at a rate of $250 per hour. But, what Bruce gave us all was invaluable!
