But that kind of freedom to set one's own path and provide one's services on one's own terms (and the freedom to purchase such services) is too much for liberals to countenance and I'm sure the Democrats will be working overtime to make sure it gets curtailed.___________________Is it fair, that some people can get better care than others? Is it fair, that spending more time with patients, that the people who pay extra will have better care, I mean we are talking health care. Is it fair that some people will be getting 5 minute doctor visits are rushed through, seeing a nurse practitioner rather than a doctor? It is all about fairness. It just is not fair. That is why many countries like the no care outside the system option, it is all about fairness. Is it fair that people with money get better doctors? C'mon fairness dictates that mediocre medicine become the norm as the best and the brightest figure out a life of public service is not for them and drop medicine as we decide to get stupid there as a society. But on the upside, it will be fair. However, it will at least suck equally for everyone, except of course the folks who can not pay for doctors and will go give money to other countries where they can. But that's OK, our care will go downhill, our innovation will crawl to a stop, but there will be another group of people progressives/libs can hate and blame things on, so it will all be OK in the end.
