But where would negative cash flow come from if the 'companion' account were insufficient?

Can't have negative cash flow.

Also can't do your own work in any way shape or form. Someone else has to do all the work for you. I looked into owning a vacation rental through an IRA and stopped when I found out that I couldn't even act as a rental agent.

My info is dated a few years, so things may have changed.
