By contributing now to your IRA's you really help yourself out with taxes in April. I am surprised that an accountant did not recommend this sooner - unless you have been doing the taxes yourself. This type of contribution will offset your taxes - more money goes to your fund then goes to the government.

There is no current tax benefit to a Roth IRA.
Contributions to a Roth IRA accounts are a future tax benefit. That is,
provided current IRA laws stay the same.
