Can someone lay out the math for me on this?

I'm not going to answer your question directly, but I'm going to give you a couple suggestions.

First, did you Google "intrinsic value"? If not see the following link:

Once there see the first two links. If you ask; 'Who's Warren Buffet?' then I'd suggest you do a little more reading stuff here on Fool.com ;-)

The reason I'm not answering your question is because you will learn a lot (most?) people or investors use subjective methods or simply; "suited to there personal situation/knowledge/position, etc.
