Can you give me the definition of intelligence that you're working with?

I think that's the real rub, when discussing a potential creator, trying to define what it is, and what is necessary to have intelligence. What is the working model of intelligence that we see in nature, us? I agree with the conjecture that an intelligence that utilizes anything similar to a human brain to reason would be highly unlikely, so we are left with two other alternative, one, none existed, or two, one did exist but is not some complex maze of neurons and synapse. If this intelligence is/were supernatural, we can't set up tests to analyze it, but if it's natural, and makes use of plasma streams to think, then we shouldn't come up with too rigid a notion of what is necessary to be intelligent or we may miss the obvious.

Can you give me SOME idea? Is duct tape intelligent? Is a potato intelligent? If you can't tell me what intelligence is, can you tell me what it's not?
