Hello fellow fools,

I have invested in a very speculative canadian oil sands company.
Canwest Petro. CWPC I understand the risk and figure this is a long term, high risk play.

They announced today the issuance of Flow-through shares to the Canadian investor. The stock proceded to drop by about 16% at last look.

I suppose my question is why would the issuance of these shares affect the trading price ??? or perhaps it doesn't and the speculative oil market is simply not the place to be right now.

Any opinions, information or explanation would be greatly appreciated.
