Last year was a boom year for gardening and canning. Jar lids were hard to find at the end of the year.

It's a bit early but places that stock canning supplies all year (like Menards) have not restocked.

They are available online. People seem to be ordering early to replace depleted supplies. Will there be hoarding?

Many now come from China, quality questionable. Ball and Kerr products are available.

I notice the recent ones are more subject to corrosion especially with acidic products like pickles.

The coating on the inside of food cans used to be one use of BPA--now largely replaced. You wonder if that also applies to the coating on the inside of jar lids. Are they BPA free?
