Is there a canonical source for best MMA/CD rates out there? I find the lists at the usual suspects I check out don't always seem to be comprehensive.--B+C, finally deciding to try to optimize the cash portion of his portfolio
Canonical list is http://bankcd.com/ but it will cost you $10 to see the actual names, telephone numbers, and websites of the banks. There is a money-back guarantee but it's pretty hard to actually take advantage of, even if you know of a bank paying higher interest than one of the ones on the list. You can get a good view by combining www.bankrate.com, www.money-rates.com, www.banxquote.com, money.cnn.com, banking.yahoo.com, www.imoneynet.com, and just hanging out in this board and the "Fools and their Money" board.
Thank you very much.--B+C, adjusting his bookmarks
From what I have read and seen there is not that much difference so if you miss a few firm/banks you are not missing a lot.John
