..I have a 'friend' who's building a new house, and plans on adding a 5.1 or 7.1 system to the living room.. looks to be an awkward space, (for audio) with a sloping cathedral ceiling..

..unfortunately, from the drawings I've seen, he plans on placing the TV on one end of the room, so the left rear dipole would be ok, mounted on a beam, but the right dipole would need to be dropped about 6-8 feet or so to match the height of the left..

..ugly, for starters, so I suggested putting the dipole surrounds on stands, rather than mounting them off the ceiling...

..I don't think he liked that idea, but would accept a 'hanging speaker' if it looked ok..

..anyone have any resources on aesthetically pleasing rear dipoles that can hang off a cathedral ceiling?..

..I did a cursory look online but didn't find much...there are some nice 'downward firing' speakers, but they're used to fill an office with muzak..

..thanks for any help..
