I haven't been specific the first time I posed this question, so allow me to ask again: what is the maximum amount that my husband and I (filing a joint return) can contribute yearly to charity and which would be completely deductible from our taxes? Our combined yearly income is $171,000 (so far we'be been contributing 10% of our income.
