I read in a magazine something about a Childhood Roth IRA. I'm not sure what magazine it was. I was waiting for my daughter to come out of the dentist and didn't think to check the name. If you have any information it would be greatly appreciated. It was not an Education IRA, it was something totally different. It could be set up if the child had a verifiable source of income. They could also contribute $2000 instead of the $500 limit on ED. IRA's.
Thank you,
Barbara Lindbergh
Hi Barbara,
I'm not sure about the exact article you are referring to but I figured I could steer you in the right direction.
Here is an article written by one of our staff members entitled "Investing for your kids":
http://www.fool.com/money/investingforkids/investingforkids.htm
On the right side of the article in the margin you will see a list of nine links. These are more articles for you to check out.
You should post your question on the "Family Fool" message board:

You might get lucky and find another Fool who has read the article you are referring to.
Hopefully the other information in the links will help you out as well.
Best,
Kim
