High 90s in TX. Might get near 100 Monday. Usual this time of year is mid 90s.

Enjoy your 'cool'. Won't be that cool here till October.

You'll have two months of summer starting July 4 and ending Labor Day when the big switch is thrown and you go into 'fall'. Plus or minus a week or so. Maybe a week of "Indian Summer' later, then first snow in October. Then you'll enjoy 'leaf season' - but not necessarily 'raking leaves' which follows. If you have snow tires, you'll get them on the car.

Grew up in NJ.....went to college in Troy NY. Know what 'winter' is.....and 'short summers'.

Sister still has the house on Lake George NY (upstate). You can easily cross over into VT at Ticonderoga (ferry) or Crown Point NY (bridge) or down to White Hall NY and across to Burlington. VT nice in the summer time.

Saw 33 below in VT one year - skiing at Stowe. Got up to minus ten that day. Mighty cold on the ski lift!

Slowly have migrated south. I don't do winters well. Nor want to. We get all of six inches average snow here, and if you aren't up by 10am, you likely won't see it - it will be melted. A few years ago, we had 8 inches in one fall. Lasted 2 days but melted off the roads quickly. Kids went wild building snow people and sledding on anything they could find. Hasn't repeated since. Usually an inch at a time and gone by 10am.

Let's see....May is "Mud Month" in VT...followed by June which is 'black fly month' if I remember right!

We had 90°F earlier this week. Back to our usual mid 70's to 80's by now.

Speaking of chilly....

Did you know the national food in Chile is chili, and they tend to eat it when its cool outside. So one could say....

When in Chile eat Chili when chilly.
