In the past, this message board (and the now-defunct Gomez online banking message board) had lively discussions about online banking services. However, some discussions were spoiled by flame wars initiated by "trolls", who would make outrageous statements just for the sake of inciting argument.

What can we and TMF do to minimze troll-initiated flame wars? A key reason this online banking board has been so inactive is that many TMF members remain wary...... any thoughts?

Geez, I was hoping there wouldn't be no flame wars here.

This is my first post here and just wanted to alert those who use ATM machines to be on the lookout for phoney facades. These facades have hidden electronic surveilance devices that pick off your account number and pin. This info is used to make a duplicate card . There's a Nigerian ring that has been on the rampage recently here in NJ. My wife works for a major bank . She's an audit and compliance supervisor.

Hi All,

I'm not part of the TMF Customer service team, but I am a fan of the boards and share your desire to keep this and all Boards civil.

I won't post often, but I will continue to watch this Board and notify Bogey and the Community team if things begin to head down an uncivil path.

Fool on (gently, please)

About the only thing we can do is to:
1) Ingore the trolls
2) Report them incessantly (which should be effective as a cc
and an email is required, so it won't be as easy to log on as a
    different person anymore.)

RJM,
At least one of the individuals you mentioned was really informative, and I regret not seeing posts from that person any longer...
