Interesting concept; Swan Lake or some good, angry Wagner for the 4-wheel lock up shuffle we in the ice belt see all too often.

A similar thing happened to me Monday night. I'm following a lawn/landscape guy; contractor body on F-series chassis, bed full of dirt and crap, flat trailer full of lawn mowers. Some thing bounces off the trailer. Looks like a wood block, maybe 4x4x4 or so. Cannot channge lanes, and I run right over it. Pull over, drop to the hands and knees, and see the little thumbnail slit in my oil pan and the tiny little stream of Mobil 1 coming out.

The race to get my car home before "lack of oil pressure death" set in would have been wonderfully accompanied by "In the Hall of the Mountain King," which (I think) is by Edvard Grieg.

Long story short: New oil pan; $95.00, pan gasket $50.00, car holding it's oil like it should; priceless.

6Speed, Back on the Road Again (which was REO Speedwagon if'n I remember . . . )
