2/8 I read the Seeking Alpha article chopping CLNE to pieces. The author left out one very significant fact, DEMAND CHARGES for electricity to run a CNG station. If you want to refill the 85 to 120 gal tank at 3 dge or 4 at most you can avoid the electricity demand demand charges, that takes too much time for long haul class 8 trucks. $30,000 per month demand charges is not unreasonable estimate of cost, I am a small business (retired) CFO and know about Demand Charges for electricity. The author conveniently does not explain how new technology gets around this cost.
How do you fill a 120 gal tank at 10+gal per minute without incurring this $30,000 per month charge, what new technology is currently available?
The author does make numerous points which are of concern as I am Long CLNE.
