C'mon, 'fess up. Did you feel obligated? Did you feel if you didn't splurge big it'd mean you weren't showing love?

Okay, I splurged (hey! first valentine's day together). I got her Microsoft Money and Tax Cut (40$ rebate on Money and 15$ off Tax Cut)at her request (SWOOOOOOON!!!).

Then, because she just took a new job with about 80% travel, I gave her my Citibank iPod Shuffle (free for charging 500$ --all paid off immediately, of course) and a 20$ gift certificate from iTunes as a Valentine day/new job present. (She loved it.)

I charged them all and then went home and paid the bill online and mailed out the rebates. Thus, I added to my MBNA points, which will be used for a free ticket to Switzerland in a year or two.

Next year will probably be less extravagent.
