CNBC said earlier that

"a partnership that controls nearly 1/2 of the stock announced last friday that they were asking seagate to register to sell 100 million shares that they own. That is about 1/4 of Seagate..... "

Not what a shareholder wants to hear but what do I know? : )

Earlier today I heard speculation that Seagate was also supplying hard drives for the Apple iPod. But the CFO(I think) of seagate wouldn't comment on that except to say that they supply leading MP3 makers (Wink Wink)

I don't own any shares but I ended up here today looking around doing reasearch and stuff.

Good luck.
