My daughter just began her first quarter at UC Davis and it's time to pay the Piper! I have a joint trust account that has been set aside for this purpose and it's time to tap into it. From a tax perspective, what is the best course? Should I transfer the money directly into her personal account? Transfer to my own and gift it to her? Pay directly to the school? Other?

Appreciate the insight.
